The Canadian College of Specialties in Optometry is committed to all provisions of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act.  The CCSO is responsible for all information collected, used, stored and disclosed by our organization.

 

We are committed to providing appropriate privacy and security on our website, database and internal files.  While appropriate security precautions have been taken, the CCSO cannot make any representation or promise concerning the possible interception or unauthorized access by outside parties.

 

The CCSO will not sell or distribute personal information to third parties except as required by law.  Personal information may be disclosed to outside contractors or companies to provide specific services to CCSO; however, these entities will be mandated to maintain the confidentiality of all personal information which they have access to.  Aggregate information may be contained in Annual Reports and other organizational reports.

 

Names, area of specialty, contact information and other information for Fellows and Specialists will be available to the general public and other health care practitioners on the CCSO website.
