Membership Categories and Fees

  • Student Member
    • $0 fee to join and $0 yearly fee to maintain registration.
    • Registration is open to any student currently registered in an optometry program in Canada or the US.
    • Once the student graduates and registers for practice in any Canadian province or territory, they will automatically transfer their registration to the CCSO Member category.

  • Fellows
    • $125 application fee.
    • Registration is open to all individuals who meet the initial FCCSO registration requirements.
    • $100 yearly fee to maintain the Fellowship designation in addition to meeting the maintenance of Fellowship designation requirements.

  • Specialists
    • $250 application fee.
    • Registration is open to all individuals who meet the initial SCCSO registration requirements.
    • $100 yearly fee to maintain the Specialist designation in addition to meeting the maintenance of Specialist designation requirements.

  • Life Members
    • $0 application fee and $0 yearly fee to maintain registration.
    • Designation must be affirmed by the CCSO Board of Directors.
